This hotel has a rather unusual room layout that may not suit everyone. The bathroom and shower doors have noticeable gaps at the top and bottom, which means there is very little privacy. Sounds (and in some cases even smells) travel easily into the room. The sink is also located directly in the bedroom area, so it essentially feels like you’re sleeping in your bathroom. It’s an odd design choice, especially at this price point. Another thing that stood out was a conversation my travel companion and I overheard between a staff member and a guest. The staff member casually asked a female solo traveler whether she was traveling alone and what she was doing in the city. While it may have been meant as friendly chit-chat, it felt a bit inappropriate and unnecessary from a privacy and safety perspective. The hotel itself is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. When the air conditioning in our room started making strange noises and couldn’t be fixed, they quickly moved us to another room, which we appreciated. One other thing to note: there is no real lobby or common area where guests can sit before check-in or after check-out. There’s only a small reception counter, while the other spaces are dedicated to the bar and restaurant. Overall, the staff were attentive and the rooms were clean, but the room design and lack of privacy were significant drawbacks for us and didn’t feel justified given the price. Something to keep in mind when booking if privacy and comfort are important to you.

After 5 days, I can't wait to check out tomorrow. Ace is a 5-Star hotel, one of the expensive spots Sydney. The "Cosy" rooms a budget hotel with nice decor, you get a couple inches around the bed. The gym (for this huge hotel) is tiny, it has 1 bench press in it? If you aren't first, don't bother. And my room didn't get cleaned 3 times, once i came back at 6pm and someone had just started trying to clean it and asked me if I wanted the "full service", ie the sheets changing, I said yeah as it had been a while. He got clearly annoyed about it. And another time they didn't leave any toilet roll. And the Wi-Fi is bad, so you keep having to reconnect. The restaurant on the top floor is nice but I got in at 9pm on Friday night and they'd closed the kitchen already. Lame lame lame. All vibe, this was not relaxing in anyway - i'd book somewhere else or go budget for a similiar experience. Shame, the London one is nice.

I have had excellent service since I walked through the door!!! Emily at check in was attentive, friendly and helped me with a bit of a situation like it was absolutely nothing! Anna at night service has always been so friendly and helpful. The staff have all been so excellent, the rooms are super clean, modern and homely at the same time. The staff really make you feel part of the family and make you feel so welcome. I had an ongoing issue with my TV, but then Superman Joe swept in and fixed it within 2 minutes. If you like classy modern accomodation with super friendly staff, this is your place. I stayed here with business, so I didn’t get to choose where I stayed, but I will be pressuring my superiors to consistently book this hotel! What a wonderful stay!

Staying at Ace Hotel had been on my bucket list for a long time, so I was really looking forward to it. The hotel had a stylish, modern atmosphere, and the reception staff were friendly and kind, even though they were very busy. They also had a great sense of style that really suited the hotel’s vibe. One staff member kindly went to the stockroom twice to help me find the right jumper, which I really appreciated. Our room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and full of character. We loved the atmosphere and really enjoyed spending time there. The food and drinks were excellent, especially the French toast at Loam for breakfast. It was amazing, and I’m sure I’ll miss it very soon. We were also seated at a lovely corner table with a great view of the dining area. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the hotel’s atmosphere.

Great location and always my go-to hotel whenever I come for business trips. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, and the atmosphere is very stylish and relaxing. Staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. Convenient location with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Always enjoy staying here whenever I’m in Sydney. Sometimes For my other business trips if there is a conference or event right after my flight i usually book the hotel that they will be having the conference ex) crown or W hotel. Although these two are nice, somehow i just love Ace hotel more.
